Why isn't my US Ski & Snowboard membership validating?

There are a number of reasons your US Ski & Snowboard membership might not validate on our site right away.

  • If you’ve just purchased or renewed your membership, please refresh your participant profile to sync with U.S. Ski & Snowboard.


    • To do this, navigate to your My Participants tab (people icon).

    • Scroll down to find the participant’s profile and click the blue Manual Refresh button.

    • This will refresh the sync with U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

  • If your membership is still marked as Pending (for example, while waiting for SafeSport or other test results), it will not validate.

    • If an event requires a U.S. Ski & Snowboard license, you will not be able to register until the license status is Active. This applies to both coaches and racers.

  • Ensure your first and last names match exactly as they appear on your U.S. Ski & Snowboard license—no nicknames or middle initials in the first name field.

  • Confirm that you have an Alpine Competitor license. Most mountains do not accept Alpine General memberships for competitive events.
